Building a Patient Approach to Everyday Movement
Stamira was founded on the idea that lasting stamina comes from consistency, not effort alone โ and that this kind of education belongs in ordinary life.
โ Back to HomeWhere Stamira Began
Stamira grew out of a straightforward observation: most people who want to be more active already know what to do in general terms, but struggle to make it stick week after week. The gap is rarely motivation โ it is pacing.
The name Stamira brings together the idea of sustained effort over time โ not pushing hard and burning out, but moving steadily in a direction that makes sense for your current life. Founded in Kuala Lumpur in 2020, the company started with a single workshop format run out of a community hall in Jalan Kuching. Word spread quietly, and over the following years the offering grew to include a ten-week coaching block and a full-year membership.
Today, Stamira serves participants across central KL and beyond โ people returning to regular movement after long gaps, professionals managing busy schedules, and anyone who has found that intensity-first approaches do not quite fit their life.
What Guides Us
Pacing First
Every session, every program, and every piece of guidance starts from the principle that sustainable rhythm matters more than peak output.
Honest Education
We share practical knowledge and tools without overstating outcomes. What we offer is information and structure โ what you build is yours.
Long-Term View
We are more interested in what holds up over two years than in what looks impressive after two weeks. Our programs are built to reflect that.
Who Runs Stamira
Nora Fadzilah
Nora developed the pacing methodology that underpins all Stamira programs after years studying movement habits and sustainable lifestyle change. She runs the workshop series and leads the annual membership.
Razif Azman
Razif oversees the ten-week coaching blocks and ensures that each participant's plan adapts sensibly to how their weeks actually unfold. He has been part of Stamira since its second year.
Suraya Ismail
Suraya manages the membership community, maintains the practice library, and coordinates seasonal planning across all Stamira programs. She also produces the pacing guides distributed in workshops.
How We Maintain Quality
Every Stamira program is held to consistent standards across content quality, participant wellbeing, and data handling.
Educator Development
All program facilitators participate in ongoing training and peer review sessions to keep content current and delivery consistent.
Privacy & Data Care
Participant information is collected only as needed and is never shared with third parties. Data practices comply with Malaysia's PDPA 2010 framework.
Evidence-Informed Content
Program content draws on established research in habit formation, movement science, and adult education โ reviewed and updated annually.
Participant Feedback Loops
Structured feedback is gathered after every workshop and mid-way through coaching blocks. Results directly inform how programs develop.
Group Size Limits
Workshops and coaching sessions are capped to ensure each participant receives adequate attention and the environment stays calm and focused.
Clear Program Descriptions
We describe what each program includes plainly and accurately โ no inflated language, no hidden expectations. Participants know what they are signing up for.
Endurance Education for Everyday Life in Malaysia
Stamira occupies a distinct space in Kuala Lumpur's wellness education landscape. We are not a gym, not a coaching app, and not a structured sport programme. What we offer sits closer to practical adult education โ tools, frameworks, and community for people who want to understand their own stamina and build it thoughtfully over time.
Our approach draws on the simple reality that most people's lives are not set up for intensity-first movement. Between work, family, commuting across greater KL, and the humidity that defines outdoor activity from April through September, the conditions for effortful exercise are often simply not there. Pacing education addresses this directly โ it teaches participants to work with their available energy rather than against their circumstances.
The Stamira format โ workshop, ten-week block, annual membership โ was designed so that participants could engage at whatever depth suits their current life stage. Someone with a busy quarter at work might attend a single workshop. Someone who wants more consistent support might take on the ten-week block. Those looking for a patient, year-long learning community will find that in the membership. Each format stands on its own while also connecting naturally to the others.
Come and See What Steady Progress Looks Like
The best way to understand our approach is to experience it. Start with a workshop, or reach out and ask us any questions you have.
