What People Are Saying About the Stamira Experience
Feedback from people who have done the workshop, completed the coaching block, and stayed with the membership across the year.

"I did the workshop in May and honestly was not expecting much — I had tried other things before that did not stick. The pacing concept clicked for me in a way nothing else had. I have been walking consistently three mornings a week since then. Nothing dramatic, just something that actually continues."
"The ten-week coaching block was well-structured without being rigid. I appreciated that Razif actually adjusted the guidance after my week five check-in when things got hectic at work. Most programmes just expect you to keep to a plan no matter what. This one did not. I would say the adaptation aspect is the real selling point."
"I joined the annual membership in January after doing the workshop the previous year. The seasonal planning part surprised me — I had not thought about how much the wet months in KL affect my activity levels, but the Q3 adjustments genuinely helped. It feels like the programme was made for people who actually live here."
"Came to the workshop not really knowing what to expect. The facilitator explained pacing in a way that actually made sense for ordinary life — not for training or competing, just for keeping up with things. I have recommended it to a few colleagues at work since then."
"I was a bit hesitant at first because I had not done any regular activity in about four years. The ten-week block was really well suited for that kind of starting point. Nothing was framed as catching up or being behind. By week seven I had a routine that did not feel forced. It took longer to build than I thought it would — but that is probably the point."
"The practice library in the membership is something I use more than I expected. There is a good variety — short sessions for busy days, longer ones for when I have time. Suraya is very responsive in the community channel when I have questions. I renewed after the first three months without much deliberation."
Participant Journeys
A closer look at how different people have engaged with Stamira programs and what changed over time.
Inconsistent Starts, No Follow-Through
Faridah, an administrative coordinator in Chow Kit, had started and stopped regular activity multiple times over three years. Each attempt began energetically but faded within a few weeks. She attributed it to motivation, but the real issue was pace — she was starting too fast each time.
Steady Pace Workshop, Then Ten-Week Block
Faridah attended the workshop in February 2025, which reframed her approach. She followed it with the coaching block in March. The first two weeks involved only light, short sessions — less than she expected — which felt counterintuitive at first but allowed her to build without burning out.
4 Months of Consistent Movement
By the end of the coaching block in May, Faridah had maintained activity three times per week for nine consecutive weeks — the longest consistent streak she had managed. She described the shift as understanding that consistency at a low level beats intensity that stops. She is now in the annual membership.
"I stopped chasing a pace that was not mine. Once I did that, it became easy to just keep going." — Faridah, May 2025
Post-Festive Slump, Low Energy Year-Round
Rajan, an engineer from Brickfields, found that every year he lost momentum around Deepavali and never fully recovered until mid-January. The same pattern repeated annually. He wanted something that would account for his energy fluctuations through the festive period rather than pretending they did not exist.
Year of Steady Progress Membership
Rajan joined the membership in April 2025. The Q4 seasonal planning specifically addressed the festive period — with reduced session expectations in November and a gradual re-establishment plan for January. This matched his actual energy cycle rather than fighting it.
First Year Without a Full Reset
At his mid-year check-in in October, Rajan reported the most consistent six-month stretch he had experienced. He noted that knowing the festive adjustment was built into the plan removed his usual anxiety about falling off track — he was not falling off, he was following the plan.
"The plan expected the dip. That alone made a big difference to how I felt about it." — Rajan, Oct 2025
